- We are cash only! At the current time, we do not accept credit or debit cards. Please be sure to bring cash with you when you arrive. If you forget cash, you will need to take a bus or car to the nearest ATM in Gualaca, which is 20 minutes from the hostel.

- Need to leave early? If you want to shorten your stay: let us know within the first hour of your check-in or be prepared to pay for your entire stay.

- No outside alcohol is permitted on the permises.

-We offer a very simple kitchen.

- Reservations only. Please be aware that if you decide to just walk up, due to the popularity of the hostel, we may not be able to accommodate you when you arrive. Hammocks and camping are not allowed. Dinner is provided on a "sign up in advance" basis, so we may not be able to provide dinner to guests arriving without a reservation.

- We do not accept pets or children under the age of 16... Please email for further inquiries regarding our policy.

- You have to HIKE to get here! It will take approximately 20 minutes to hike from the bottom of the road to reach the hostel. Additonally, we are located in the middle of the jungle in the cloud forest and that means that there will also be lots of insects, animals, dirt, mud, extreme weather, etc. If you are uncomfortable with any of these things, please email us to make sure that this is right experience for you.

- Cars must be parked correctly If you are traveling by car, you must ask where to park at the Restaurant (Vista Hermosa) near the highway.The fee is $5 a car/night. You pay them directly upon arrival (sometimes at night you need to knock on the restaurant door). DO NOT park in front of the restaurant! If you park wrong and don't pay them when you arrive,the owners of the property will hike up and not be happy and may charge you much more and make you move it regardless of the hour or weather conditions. The company Vista Hermosa, is a separate company from the Lost and Found Hostel. So the parking is not hostel exclusive.
